I LOVE the idea of "one pinky" it's simple, yet brilliant. We really do have to love who we are before we can shift. The concept of "radical acceptance" is a challenging one, and yet we can't surrender until we embrace. It was accepting myself AND choosing to add/shift my self-concept that allowed me to lose 35 pounds since last November, so you're preaching to the choir. Keep up the good work!

I love that you are connected Laura. I think OnePinky ought to somehow work in conjuction with The Biggest Loser so people can work on both loving themselves while they lost the pounds. Gaining ground on one scale doesn't mean they won't go back, but if One Pinky were involved they might maintain as they fall in love with who they are becoming. Just a thought. Thanks for revealing your true self to the world. You will change many lives.

I love your article, and finding out where your business name "OnePinky" came from. We are all so hard on ourselves, and I am ready to join your Body Image Revolution.

I know both men and women who struggle with body image. Someone near and dear to me views himself as "too tall" and wears clothing to ensure that he is less visible...even shorter (other men probably envy his height). I'm passing your onepinky post on to him. Thank you for your Revolution!

Even though I have never had extra weight to lose, I still suffered from body image negativity -- from things like my mother telling us not to eat too much because we'd get fat, or from the media heaping attention on the rich and famous, skinny people of the world, so I can totally relate to the power of loving yourself for whom you are, and the shape you're in.

In my image consulting business, I find that it is meaningful to remind womeen to look at their bodies as a piece of art, and the clothing we wear simply drapes over our lines and curves. No judgement, no negativity, just draping a piece of beautiful art.....

I really admire you for the work you are doing. It's not easy to lose weight, more so to appreciate yourself. Self respect and self love is so important... thank you for sharing this information ...
