Leah,
Thank you for being on the call today honey, your share touched me deeply, your Dad really did a great job.
Can you feel that?
Leah, I hope you got as much value from the call today as I got from knowing you were out there. I felt your energy was low and it is soooo understandable for the time of night it was for you.
I have many things to do before I get to bed tonight including posting the call on the forum so I will use this space tonight to share a piece from a Pinky follower who got value from my special report and chose to write this beautiful piece on the value she received.
For all of you who have never read my free report or have not read it in a long time…please just move your cursor above to the top of this page and sign up for my free report…and then tell me what you think…better yet, feel free to do what darling Renée Barnow did and write a piece on it.
Here is what Renée had to share.
Hearing My Body Speak While Reading “Your Body’s Secret Language”
by Renée Barnow
“Life itself is the proper binge.” Julia Child
With a fully whetted appetite of curiosity I read Laura Fenamore’s “Your Body’s Secret Language: How to Make it Say ‘Yes’ to Weight Loss Forever.” (Available at www.onepinky.com) My body said, “Yes” to almost every word, and I ingested each morsel feasting on Laura’s message. The absolutely scrumptious and delicious treat left me wanting second and third helpings.
Here is how I savored hearing my body as I read the six traps Laura identifies.
Trap 1: My Weight Defines Who I Am—I am perfect exactly as I am in the moment, although according to BMI and medical guidelines 20 pounds less is desirable.
Trap 2: How We See Ourselves the Mirror Test—“Looking good,” and “I love you Renée,” have passed my lips when I look in the mirror.
Trap 3: Our Relationship to Food—I am an avid foodie and love traveling the world exploring fine dining. Yet, for a boost when I’m blue or to celebrate an accomplishment I get a personal body service (e.g., manicure, massage) instead of treating myself with food.
Trap 4: Our Story about Our Body—I have written a new story and on occasion revised it.
Trap 5: “I Suck”—Negative Self Talk—Yuck. Negative self talk is like eating rotten food. I reframe my inner dialogue.
Trap 6: Living in the World of “Not Enough”—Part of my daily meditation is thanking the universe for all that I am and all that I have. My strength is helping people create and sustain a sense of being OK and having enough to master thriving in challenging times.
I’m making a reservation to eat at Laura’s table.
P.S. Returned from Julie & Julia movie in which Julia and her sister did a Pinky Promise.
I know you cannot wait to see Julie and Julia and you will…pretty cool piece she wrote, ey?
Leah, sending you peace and love and gratitude as we venture into our last day of September tomorrow here in America. Month 1 is almost down. Feel different? I do. In a great way.
I am excited for you and for me. XO
Love you Leah,
Laura
