Years ago I would have never believed that these words would have came out of my mouth, but I absolutely love my morning time. There is something really sacred about those early morning hours when everyone else is sleeping. I like getting what I feel a good start to the day, and that is getting a good nights sleep, waking up rested and then creating time in the morning for activities which center me. These activities include prayer, reading inspirational readings, meditation and even silence. It is also a great time to set intentions for my day, what I would like the day to feel like, and what I would like to accomplish. This time at the beginning of the day creates a prayer and intention for my day, both of which I find immensely important.
Another time I value is my alone time. This is new for me as well! I have always been very social and never missed a single social event. I really didn’t spend much time alone, if any. As I spend more time in awareness of myself and what I would like my life to look like I am finding that there is something really rewarding about having alone time. I am learning to enjoy my own company.
Pinkies, are there any other morning people out there? And if you are a night owl, what do you enjoy about that? And anyone else learning to enjoy their own company?
I am looking forward to tomorrow morning when I get to be alone. : )
May there be peace within.
Love,
Gina

Hi Gina,
I am a little behind on your blog. I am actually a night owl for something different. This is new for me with my career change and this change suits me and supports me like I am living the ideal hours and life that suits me.
Previously I would meditate and pray in the morning, now I meditate and pray before bed, it soothes me, relaxes me and provides happy and comforting thoughts and feelings before sleep. I have alone time before bed at night as Leigh’s work has him up early in the morning.
I love this alone time and I love my own company, I need to have time to myself and I love the quiet and being able to listen to my own thoughts and feelings.
Thank you for sharing your life with us Gina, you are bringing appreciation to us through your blog for such special and important times as time for us.
Love to you my friend.

Hey Gina, Leah, and Laura…
I used to consider myself a night owl, but no more. I’m not sure why the shift, but I have taken advantage of it and now look forward to my morning meditation time as well. I listen to positive, soothing music which is huge for me and read inspirational readings as well. I also have another practice of holding stones that were gifted to me from postive friends in my fingertips. Something about feeling those stones in my fingertips is so soothing to me. All this together while enjoying scents from my diffuser centers me and has become self-soothing for me. I love that I can take as long as needed with this on any given day. I also do this before bed, but have begun doing it moreseo in the morning. I am blessed to work afternoons when I can go to work (currently on medical leave), so meditating in the morning and the evening works well for me. It sets me up for a great day and a good night’s sleep!
